Privacy Policy — SugarFree

SugarFree ("we", "us", "our") is a sugar-tracking app that helps you scan nutrition labels, log daily sugar, and track your progress. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

• Sugar & health data you enter — grams of sugar per food, weight, sleep, skin, mood, energy, cravings, symptoms (stored on your device).
• Photos — nutrition-label photos you take (stored on your device; optional).
• Scan / estimate input — when you use the AI estimate, the label photo or text you submit is sent to our backend to calculate sugar. It is used only to produce your estimate.
• Anonymous account — a random anonymous UID is created so your backup can sync across devices. We do not require your name or email to use the app.
• Crash/error diagnostics — anonymized crash reports to improve stability.

2. We Do NOT Collect

• Your name or a real email address unless you choose to sign in with Google/Apple or contact us.
• Advertising IDs, precise location, contacts, or browsing history.
• We do not sell your data and the app shows no ads.

3. How We Use Data

• To provide the core app features (scan, log, track, backup).
• Cloud backup syncs your data to your anonymous account only if you enable it.
• Crash analytics only to fix bugs.

4. Cloud Backup & Sync

Your optional cloud backup is stored on our own backend (Alibaba Cloud). Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and stored under your anonymous UID. You can delete all cloud data anytime in Settings → "Delete cloud data".

5. Account & Sign-In

You can use SugarFree without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we send a verification token to our backend so we can link your data across devices. Google and Apple receive your account identity (and the email you decide to share) only when you choose to sign in.

6. Third-Party Services

• Alibaba Cloud — our hosted backend (compute + storage) for optional cloud backup and the AI estimate.
• Alibaba Model Studio — AI estimate of sugar from a nutrition label (you send it only when you estimate).
• Google Sign-In — optional account linking (identity only).
• Sign in with Apple — optional account linking (identity only).
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase/subscription processing (we receive confirmation and entitlement only; never card details).
• Sentry — crash reporting (anonymized).

7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

• Export: Settings → "Export my data".
• Delete: Settings → "Delete cloud data" (removes cloud backup; local data removed on uninstall).
• No selling: We never sell or share your data for advertising.

8. Children

SugarFree is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; changes will be posted on this page.
